Shipping & Delivery Policy

How the delivery charge is calculated for multiple units and some products

The shipping charge is based on the weight of the product. For multiple products ordered from the same category the program adds up the weight of all the units ordered and charges a single delivery fee.

Thus, a customer who orders three books weighing 200gms, 250gms and 400gms is charged a single delivery fee of a consignment weighing more than 500gms but less than one kg. The customer is not charged for three different consignments weighing less than 500gms each.

The weight of the product has been built in into the delivery charge of each product. This will automatically be added to the product cost at the payment stage. The delivery charge is arrived at by multiplying the weight of the product with the slab rate.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Swamy Publishers (P) Ltd. believes in helping its customers as far as possible, and has therefore a liberal cancellation policy. Under this policy:

Offers and Discounts

Swamy Publishers may be offering discounts on some of its products from time to time. These offers will be available only for a short span of time. Customers are encouraged to avail these offers as early as possible. Swamy Publishers reserves the right to change / withdraw any discounts and offers offered to customers in the form of coupons, etc. at any point of time without prior notice.

Swamys News

  1. Subscriptions can be made from any month for one year and supply for earlier months will be subject to availability of back issues.
  2. We do not send SwamysnewS by VPP. Subscriptions can be enrolled only on receipt of full payment in advance.
  3. Subscriptions should be sent either by Bank Draft on any Bank at Chennai, in favour of Swamy Publishers (P) Ltd. or by Money Order. Postal Orders NOT accepted.
  4. Subscriptions once enrolled will not be cancelled in the middle of the period.
  5. Remittances for renewal should reach us a month before the expiry, indicating Subscription Number.
  6. Requests for change of mailing address should reach us a month in advance. Such requests should indicate Subscription Number.
  7. The period of subscription enrolled is based on the current subscription rates and holds good only as long as these rates are in force.
  8. The rates are subject to revision at any time by announcement in SwamysnewS or an intimation from our office.
  9. SwamysnewS will normally be posted by the 7th of every month. The posting may be delayed by a week if any latest important Government orders are to be included.
  10. Posting is done through our computerized mailing system. We make sure that the journal is mailed to all subscribers and we hold the receipt from the Post Office as proof.
  11. Journals are mailed by ordinary post at the subscriber's risk. Subscribers are advised to get their copies by Registered Post on payment of an additional amount of Rs. 204 per year. (If subscription is made for more than one copy, Rs. 204 is enough for subscription up to 30 copies per month).
  12. Our responsibility ceases once we hand over the magazine to the Post Office. We are not responsible for any delay/loss/damage in transit.
  13. Complaints of non-receipt of journal should be reported not later than second week of the following month. Supply of replacement copy will be subject to availability. Since only a few extra copies are printed, it may not be possible to supply back issues after a long gap.
  14. The magazines reaching Government office by designation are not usually preserved carefully or they get pinched. Please give safe addresses.
  15. Please quote your Subscription Number in all correspondence.

The list of titles available in our catalogue covers almost all the Central Civil Service Rules from entry to exit, in the service of a Central Government employee. With the advent of digital information systems and the Internet, the scope of publishing has expanded to include electronic resources such as the electronic versions of books and periodicals, websites and the like. Having completed sixty years of publishing, we have now ventured into providing a mobile software application developed for use on devices powered by Google's Android platform.

The App not only provides updates but also has some very interesting features like cross-references, case-laws, readers' forums, etc. These special features will be available for subscribed members of Standard and Premium plans.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Swamy Publishers (P) Ltd. believes in helping its customers as far as possible, and has therefore a liberal cancellation policy. Under this policy:

  • Cancellation of automatic renewal of subscription must be made at least 24 hours before the next billing cycle to avoid being charged for the following year. This must be done outside the app via Google Play Store
  • Upon cancellation, access to the service will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
  • No refunds are provided for partial months.
